*Imperfectly perfect

In an old building, no wall is ever straight.

For this reason, a 1:1 template was created here in order to trace the contour of the wall as well as the contour running around the chimney, on the basis of which the edge of the 7.75 m long shelf was milled to fit.

The rustic and solid wood aspect was very important to the customer, with a thickness of 45 mm. Therefore, the shelf is brushed over the entire surface and sealed with hard wax oil. The front edge shows the naturally grown shape of the tree.

2 integrated compartments which are cut out of the surface, so that the grain remains continuous, are another extra which is only visible at second glance.
